You might have trouble posing two different people during your engagement sessions.
It’s always so awkward to get to people that might not even know you to start hugging and kissing each other right there.
There’s also so much time to fill during a photo session that it’s hard to come up with creative ideas that take up time.
So what I like to do is start off simple.
Walking and motion prompts
I like to start off with easy posIng prompts like
”Walk and hold hands.”
”Dip her like the 1940’s.”
prompts with the ears and face
“Cuddle close to her around her shoulders and sway like your at prom.”
”Whisper your favorite food in her ear.”
“take her hand and put it on her cheek as pull her close.”
“Tell her that she‘s beautiful.”
Using a dramatic silhouette or a prop is a great way to change your a basic kiss pose.
You can also add in sweet kisses on forehead, temple, top-of-head or cheek.
”Kiss her like it was the last kiss you will ever have.”
“Kiss her on the neck so it tickles.”
“Kiss her hand like an old black-and-white movie.”
most of the time my favorite shots are the ones that are just a close-up and small piece of the story.
just the Legs snuggling
just the hands holding
Just the rings
Just a hand on the chest.
Just the feet walking.
Just a hand on the arm.
The lean/the arms around the shoulders
have you ever seen the great movie “While you were sleeping?”
One of my favorite things to do with couples is to have them reenact the famous scene in the movie that such a playful and romantic gesture.
So we have the guy lean toward the girl as she’s leaning against the wall.
and there’s nothing more romantic than someone putting their arms around their shoulders and leaning in.
I Love bringing crazy props for photo shoots. It doesn’t have to be very expensive or complicated.
Just bring a simple blanket to wrap your partner up in, bring a coffee cup to share a drink together, bring sparklers or other lights to create magic!
