Lay on the floor and take a picture of your favorite ornament about 5 feet from the tree. Try to use a 50 mm 1.8 lens or something similar to really create an amazing blurred background

Put your camera on a tripod and use any zoom lens that you have in your bag. set your shutter speed to five seconds and adjust your aperture and ISO accordingly..

as you zoom in with one hand- you press the shutter button- you will create light trails because of the slow shutter speed.
